Blogger Community Party at WIA
Come one! Come all! Please come hang out with us, we need friends! 🙂
A small group of ruffians spent much of last years Woodworking in America conference hanging out together. So much so, that George Walker called us out as the “American Chopper crew”; for whatever reason, I guess we look disreputable to the design master.
Well we’ve decided to start this years conference with a bang. It started out billed as a blogger gathering, but really it’s just an online community gathering and all are welcome! (Thank goodness or I wouldn’t have been allowed)
Date and Time: Thursday, September 29, 7:00 p.m. until they give us the boot or we remember how old we really are.
Location: Keystone Bar & Grill, 313 Greenup Street, Covington, Kentucky
Facebook invite if you want to RSVP (no need)
I know no one knows me but we’ve got tentative confirmations from real celebrities. Such as: Kari Hultman, Tom Iovino, Steven Taylor, Rob Bois, and Matt Vanderlist. So get your butt there. If you show up late I can’t guarantee that I’ll have left you any of the good beer ;-P
Booyah… I’m so there!
Definitely looking forward to this one!
Thanks for putting this together Nik! I’ll be there. I’m really looking forward to meeting you and everyone else I BS with daily!
Oooh – who is this celebrity Steven Taylor? I’ll be there – I’ve always wanted to meet a celebrity who shares the same name as I do!!
I’ll be there. I been looking forward to meeting all you guys for a long time.
I was totally excited for this, looking for a hotel room for the overnight stay away from home until I found out my wife works Thursday night. Unless she gets off I have to stay home to see the kiddos off to school the next day. Not only may I not be meeting my oh so beloved online woodworking community, I’ll be arriving at WIA dangerously close to making the 6 to 7 hour round trip drive worth it. 🙁
Looking forward to it, Nik! Thanks for rounding us up.
Steven Tyler? Aerosmith is so sweet!
My flight gets in at 9:30. I’ll drop by after checking into the hotel.
Such a great nigh hanging out with a great group. We had about 50+ woodworkers and groupies show up. I deliberately didn’t take a camera but I think a few people documented the evening: http://t.co/IWfIvObq
